As a kid I remember the one of the tastes that blew my mind was the combination of toothpaste and orange juice. For those that have tried it in the morning, the two would combine to form that bitter taste. Albeit it happened with most juices, toothpaste changed the sweet to the blegh.

This led me to thinking what else can our minds be misled into sensing. There are so many visual tricks that come to mind, but that will be discussed another day. One thing that comes time mind are MIRACLE BERRIES!
What makes them so miraculous you ask? Well, I have had a chance to try these berries from Africa once. They change the sour to the sweet. It is quite the experience, biting into a slice of lemon. No doubt a great party activity or trick to try with friends and loved ones.
Artichokes and water is another combination that will get your mind wondering. After a meal of artichokes (not my favorite) and taking a swig of water, one should find that the water tastes sweeter than normal. Hopefully, that is not lead in your pipes though. If so, you should get those checked.

The next combination should help those that love grapefruits. I use this trick myself to get rid of the bitterness. There are a lot of benefits to a grapefruit, but the taste is not like a clementine, tangerine or a mangosteen. The trick is to add some salt to a grapefruit
Then again we might be getting too much NaCl in life.
I have heard of others such as a glass of wine, but alcohol does a lot to one's mind. Maybe others have experiences they want to share of their own concoctions. Maybe we will stumble upon something that is marketable. Chocolate wine? Mmmm, sounds like a good night out.
In the end, I love food, but sometimes things just don't go well together and sometimes they do. :) Depends on what you like. The spice of life.
